When you just can't help yourself..
Often times, humans generally find it hard to let go of some cravings, desires and uhhmmmm.....what's the word? Yea, ADDICTION.
There's something very beautiful about addiction-it's not restricted or limited.
I can be addicted to sleep, you can be addicted to feeding on junkies, he may be addicted to talking, she may be addicted to singing. So you see, addictions are not negative in essence. What's negative about them is
1. If the very nature of what you're addicted to is bad
2. If you can't control yourself and your time, more especially, over the thing(s) you're addicted to.
If you've found yourself in a habit that seems unbreakable and so difficult for you to quit, if you've gotten to that point where you hate what you're doing but you can't just stop (even a job which you're not finding fulfillment from may become an addiction when you have no other source of income generation), then I must say, YOU'RE NOT ALONE. Yes, you're not. In fact, you're very normal for having an addiction. It shows you can be very passionate and it can be a plus to you if you channel such powers to more resourceful and productive avenues.
For real, I don't have a list of do's and don'ts on how to break away from addiction. In fact, I very much welcome every and any suggestions or ideas of possible solutions (simply drop a comment or go to the top right of this blog's homepage, and click on the "sign in" command to post an article on this issue or any other).
There's good news all the same. There's someone who can help you break away from negative addictions. He's got a name and that name is JESUS. He's helped me break away from my negative addictions and He's ready, right now, to help you.
