Our gullibility
Just yesterday, I was speaking with a friend who has established himself in the world of leadership. For sake of anonymity, I'll just disclose that he's currently mentoring young and mature females who have at one time time of their lives, lost direction, and are willing to take U-turns into their destinies and purposes.
He told me that he encountered a young lady of 20 who didn't know that nothing bad would have happened to her boyfriend if she didn't have sex (pre-maritally) with him. The so-called boyfriend feigned sickness and prescribed a few bouts of climatic pleasures as the only effective solution he needed to get better and which his girlfriend could provide without stress.

Now, back to our gullibility, the female's gullibility...
Before you begin to feel like a saint, do you remember the first time you kissed a man or was touched by a man you weren't married to? Do you? Do you also remember how you felt when you saw that same man, who professed love to you like you were the only girl in the world, with another woman? Do you?
Females, young and old, married and unmarried, employed and unemployed, all have one thing in common. That one thing is their motherly nature, their compassionate heart that can't bear to see their loved ones in pains/hurting.
This same nature is the very reason that teenage girl became pregnant for that irresponsible boy/man who did not value her very essence. It's this same nature that drives that married woman into adultery. The list is endless.
See, I'm not saying our very soft nature as women is a bad gift/thing. I'm saying that when we do not understand our power as women, when we do not value our existence, our essence and don't take reasonable time out to know who we truly are, then catastrophe becomes the guest waiting at the reception of our lives.
Why would you ever feel like you're not good enough for a man, any man at all? Why would you need a man to tell you that you're beautiful or gorgeous before you truly feel that way? Don't you know that what you carry inside is what men are truly looking for. I'm not talking about the sexual satisfaction you can offer them, here. I'm talking about your will power, your management skills, your access to God's throne of grace, your sweetness that encapsulates any and every environment you step into, your ability to see dangers ahead, your grace to bring a man closer to his destiny.
Name it baby , we're hot cakes. Cakes don't go go after customers, customers rush to get them because of their taste. That's how the women folk are.

The problem is that for centuries, most women have not taken time to discover and develop themselves, most women have depended on men for their finances and happiness and all. Lol...They have to ensure these men are in a happy state if they must get what they want; woe betide them when that man leaves/dies.
Sweetheart, how long will you keep being naive? How much longer will you be deceived before you know what God planned for you? Why do you keep living an agnostic life when there's better?
Females ought have to have standards and principles which they should live by to ensure that their fragile nature is not abused or debased. Listen, you really don't need to be like the next lady standing close to you. You're unique; you're created and the beautiful thing is that no one is and can ever truly be like you. You are amazing; can't you see it? Can't you feel it?
Beauties, Proverbs 31 of that very bible you only open on Sunday mornings is more than enough to make you the woman you should really be. Come on, check it out...I'll be right here waiting if you have any troubles. If you need a private ear, you can reach me at sureimpact@gmail.com and do remember that we at female hub sincerely loves you.

OBSERVATIONS FROM A WEDNESDAY MORNING
This particular morning, I was up by few minutes to 5:00am, went through the normal routines and by 6:33am (that was after I had prepared and packed the family's lunch ), I was out of the house.. By 6:55am, I was on the 2nd bus to my destination (work). Refusing to use my earpiece (you know, the usual plug in for music), I decided to "observe" and I sincerely make this claim- that everything you'll read below, happened between 6:59am and 7:54am on the 1st of July, 2015.
I looked out of the window and I saw a woman pull out a paper carton spread it open on the floor and layered it with a black polythene bag. Standing beside her was a little girl wearing an "ijab".
The woman bid her daughter to stand on the spread out materials. Then, she removed the (I Suppose) daughter's ijab, revealing a girl who possibly experienced growth issues which led to her having very short and feeble fore limbs (hands).
Then, in pity and anger of what I had seen, I realized that I lost comfort when another potential passenger joined us (on a 4-seater bench that should normally carry 4 people) to make us 5.
That was when I realized that I boarded a sardine tin ( "molue" as it's popularly called) and not a bus. With mild pains in my arms, I tried to adjust, only to see people ( body, soul and spirit, madly and without care) jumping onto the moving vehicle. Crazy enough, kudos to the "sardine tin" drivers who have made super heroes (like spider man, batman, Jet Li) out of their passengers who are expected to fly out of the moving vehicle in a bid to alight.
Now, this is one part I hated most. That part where I had to spend long periods in the slowest motion march-past (traffic congestion popularly called go-slow) on the roads. All thanks to those big long trailers whose drivers never unlearn that roads were not majorly for parking, but for moving.
I felt like crying when I saw aged people fit (by age) to be my grandparents, sweeping the streets of Lagos (Eko o ni baje o) to just to make ends meet and have daily bread.
I'm happy to bring to your notice that Lagos State has produced one of the finest set of mountain climbers ( practicing on those hilltops that connect Mile 2 to Apapa bridge) and the impatient Maza maza - mile 2 marathon trekkers.
In my laughter, I saw my smile fade as I wondered why a handsome young man would be smoking at 7:26am. I heaved a sigh of relief when I saw another young man reading job opportunity posters (promising airport jobs and other vacancies that pay #6,000 daily). At least, it was better than smoking at that time.
Then I came back to myself, this time laughing at myself for feeling sleepy so early that morning. It wasn't a surprise to see a man sleeping in another bus when I looked out of the window.
Let's get a little serious now...
For the woman and the deformed child, that was work; a seemingly only avenue to provide at least 2 meals per day. The irony was that both parties ignored the deformed child's health . What if she caught a cold that morning or acquired pneumonia (possibly if they've been begging that way for a very long time)?
What's with transport workers making more profit at the expense of their passengers' comfort? What happened to customer service and satisfaction? Isn't this exploitation zombi-ism?
And to our amazing Federal, State and Local Governments, what happened to our dreams of having clear roads? Only zombies lose authority even when they have power. Yet, we are made to believe that you're working.
Haaba!!! What if those my aged people were hit by a car or even had a high blood pressure condition from the many times an oncoming vehicle almost knocked them down? What happened to homes for the old?
Yea, and to our gifted mountain climbers and marathon trekkers. I know most of you were trying to get to your work places early, but how about channeling that talent to sports. Much benefits await you!!!
My young smoker, I pray I don't see your obituary in the next ten years. How could you be a zombie to your own PERSONAL health?
Yes, and to my desperate job seeker, were you told that zombies don't have functional brains? If you weren't, know now that most (not all) of those posters, are ritual killers alluring traps to get you to provide them #6,000 daily or possibly fly with broomsticks at night for them (Make sure you ask for tutorials/lectures on how to avoid crashing into electric poles if you eventually fall for their trick by virtue of ignoring this advise).
And back to my crazy self (and my sleeping colleague), waking up before 5:00am and rushing out out of my house before 7:00am to a job for which I'm not paid (Industrial Training) and which strips me of the opportunity to pursue my personal dreams and goals. In all sincerity, if I continue this way, I will not achieve much before the year runs out.
Females, males, young and old, who are either partially or fully in the labor market, strive to pursue and accomplish your personal dreams and goals. It makes no sense that would suffer, working to develop someone Else's establishment and be total zombies to our own purpose. I have not said it's wrong to help develop someones Else's dreams, but howbeit that we would cultivate other people's fields or farmlands while ours are filled with thorns and thistles.
I don't derive joy in highlighting all these problems but if we're not observant, how then shall we know the problems that surround us, talk less of figuring out the most possible and effective solutions. Now, I speak not to your head, not to your ears and neither to eyes, but I speak and plead to your hearts, that they become more observant and compassionate with a burning desire to contribute your own little quotas needed to clean up the mess we all met when we got into this seemingly disorderly environment (by virtue of birth). You don't need a union or an action group to effect a change. From your very little corner, let your light so shine. Those little things you do are capable of creating the very revolution we seek towards bettering our lives and environments.
I'm taking my little steps today by developing myself spiritually, intellectually and in every other ramification, developing my dreams, encouraging, motivating and assisting every and any one who seeks my counsel, giving to the needy, keeping my biscuit/chocolate wrappers with me (in my bag/purse) until I see a proper waste bin all in a bid to help and build a better Nigeria.

When you just can't help yourself..
Often times, humans generally find it hard to let go of some cravings, desires and uhhmmmm.....what's the word? Yea, ADDICTION.
There's something very beautiful about addiction-it's not restricted or limited.
I can be addicted to sleep, you can be addicted to feeding on junkies, he may be addicted to talking, she may be addicted to singing. So you see, addictions are not negative in essence. What's negative about them is
1. If the very nature of what you're addicted to is bad
2. If you can't control yourself and your time, more especially, over the thing(s) you're addicted to.
If you've found yourself in a habit that seems unbreakable and so difficult for you to quit, if you've gotten to that point where you hate what you're doing but you can't just stop (even a job which you're not finding fulfillment from may become an addiction when you have no other source of income generation), then I must say, YOU'RE NOT ALONE. Yes, you're not. In fact, you're very normal for having an addiction. It shows you can be very passionate and it can be a plus to you if you channel such powers to more resourceful and productive avenues.
For real, I don't have a list of do's and don'ts on how to break away from addiction. In fact, I very much welcome every and any suggestions or ideas of possible solutions (simply drop a comment or go to the top right of this blog's homepage, and click on the "sign in" command to post an article on this issue or any other).
There's good news all the same. There's someone who can help you break away from negative addictions. He's got a name and that name is JESUS. He's helped me break away from my negative addictions and He's ready, right now, to help you.

Living In A Straight Line
Tamara, a university undergraduate, was very fond of kittens. She loved them to her bank account (she could spend her last time seeing to their needs).
It was not a surprise when she got a kitten for her birthday. Tamara's present was fat, beautiful, furry and white with inconspicuous brown lines around its abdomen.
Remember!!! She loved kittens to her bank account. Unfortunately, her bank account had gone red from the extravagant expenses she made for her kitten. She had to lie to her parents that she needed some money for textbooks and handouts (I trust you what she eventually did with the money).
Often times (in fact, many times) we are caught in the act of lying to our spouses, our parents, friends, siblings, acquaintances and even enemies. Yet, we are never caught in the very act of lying to ourselves...Yes, we lie to ourselves subconsciously. Let's see this instance.
Remember that time you had a fight or a quarrel with your next door neighbor (or your best friend or any other person(s) at all). It was obvious that it was you who unleashed the straw that broke the camel's back and yet, you refused to go and make peace to kill the seemingly endless (let's say 10 year old) malice. And you've been lying to yourself that peace making, as far as that quarrel was concerned, was not your responsibility since it wasn't you who started the feud (I guess I caught you on that one).
How about that time when you found yourself crushing on a guy who does not even know you exist. Let me quickly add that I meant he doesn't love you (Before you go smiling and lying to yourself AGAIN that one day he'll probably see you).
Yea. This one is quite common. Ever heard a lady say "We're not together but he's gonna break up with his girlfriend soon" or "He's still with her because of the children".
BOTTOM LINE!
How long will you go on lying to yourself that you don't have what it takes to live a decent and productive life?
How much more do you want to procrastinate on the very things that will you yield you a fulfilled life?
How long will hurt yourself before you realize that the guy you love does not love you ?(that can really be frustrating)
Tamara might have thought that she lied to her parents only, but in all truth, she lied to herself FIRST. In the end she'll see to the needs of her kitten, but is that as tangible as losing the trust of her parents?
We, as females (and males inclusive) have a lot to lose when we throw integrity out of the window, when we don't live straight lives and worse of all, when we lie to ourselves that we are right on track when we're not.
The ultimate catastrophe for a female with attitude issues, who lies to herself that her persona is simply a 'follow come', is that her character will be a total turn off to people who come around for a while. This is because her lies deceives and stops her from making conscious efforts to developing a better attitude. Be sure that mediocrity sets in here.
It's high time we all embraced a life of integrity and lived in a straight line, being sincere with and to ourselves first, to our purpose, our dreams, our passions, to the people God has placed in our care, even around us and to the world at large.
A whole lot of benefits abound for a life of integrity. If you want them, you've gotta work at disciplining yourself, but I must be sincere, discipline ain't a plate of salad; It's serious business.
Are you willing? Are you ready?...Break a sweat and reap the harvest of integrity.
Love you...

Find Your Joy Within
At a point in this beautiful life of mine, I was so unhappy and just couldn't find anything internal that could give me joy. I felt empty and didn't realize (probably because I didn't seek to explore my potentials, strengths and all) that i was amazing and unique. So, there I was, distraught, feeling useless and always looking for people who could......

There comes a time in your life when your head keeps banging with ideas. You want to do this and that and all, but procrastination creeps in and blah!...You're back to your comfort zone. Yea yea, you're not alone, but this does not mean you should drag on that kind of life.
Every new venture, every beautiful dream, every sweet business idea has its risks...and if you are not willing to take "calculated" risks, then you will just end up a great thinker who died without any actualized thoughts.
Step out of your comfort zones, understand your timing...some ideas just have to stay in the pipeline longer than others...take time to develop your dreams and WORK. Yea, that's what makes the difference. Everyone thinks. I bet you, the guy standing next to you has better ideas than you but all that would be useless if there's no work. Don't remain a thinker, be a doer...

Yea, that's what makes the difference. Everyone thinks. I bet you, the guy standing next to you has better ideas than you but all that would be useless if there's no work. Don't remain a thinker, be a doer...
